To obtain prospects for your network marketing business
you should have a good lead source. Knowing how to market
online and buying online leads will make your business grow so
much faster because of the huge amounts of quality networking
marketing prospects that you talk to.
Are you Internet savvy? Do you know how to
market online, use auto responders to follow up with online
leads, start a newsletter, and find a good lead source?
If you dont have a lead source then youll have to get
network marketing prospects the old fashioned way. The old
fashion methods people use to recruit new prospects takes more
time, money, and energy but they work and they are proven.
The following are some old fashioned but proven
ways to get prospects for network marketing. If you use one or
more of these strategies you will see your recruits grow and so
will your business and sales.
Passing out Flyers
You can pass out flyers on car windshields, doorknob hangers,
and pass out flyers at the mall, etc. Herbalife sales
representatives have been known to do a lot of flyers. In fact,
theyre all over the place. I havent seen as much flyers from
other network marketing companies representatives. An Herbalife
rep told me they pass out between 500-1000 flyers a day.
Mailing Postcards and Letters
You can buy a mailing list and mail to a list of people within
a specific category. For example: people that are interested in
small businesses, have expressed an interest in business
opportunities, are open to network marketing, etc.
Conducting Surveys at Malls
You can conduct surveys at malls and have people find out a
form with an email address to contact them and a phone number.
You might get 50-100 surveys filled a day. Just follow up with
them with your business opportunity. A gentleman that did
really well with surveys to recruit people into his business is
personable, charming, and actually talked to the people who
filled in the survey. Its a survey of if they would be open to
a business opportunity and if theyre happy with their job.
Cold Calling Lists
Since network marketing is a numbers game, there were a few
people I know that recruited 2-3 recruits a week just from cold
calling alone. Its hard work and takes a lot of numbers but it
can work if youre consistent. The numbers were something like
6-8 appointments from 200-300 calls.
Open House, Events, and Meetings, Inviting
people to Conventions
Most network marketing companies have meeting and presentations
for new invitee of fellow team members once or twice a week to
recruit new people. The goal is to invite as many people to the
meeting as possible and let the leaders close them on the
business opportunity. This is especially good if youre just
starting out.
Use the 20-foot Rule to Talk to
Strangers
Talk to anyone within 20-foot of you everywhere you go about
the business opportunity by starting out with making small
talk. Ask them how they like their job, if theyre getting a
promotion soon since theyre doing such a great job, if they say
no then ask them if theyre open to a business opportunity
etc.
Use Referrals from Your Warm Market
Ask friends and family whom they know would be interested in a
business opportunity. They follow up with these people and let
them know that someone referred them to you.
Take on Abandoned Customers or
Recruits
If you ask your vice president or your highest team leader, you
may be able to follow up with past customers of network
marketers who have quit or take on their recruits if you
promise to lead and train them. Theres always lone recruits or
abandoned recruits that no one is training and working with. If
no one works with these lone recruits, they will quit
eventually due to lack of attention, motivation, or
leadership.
Pass out a Cassette Tape with Famous Network
Marketer message
Pass out a cassette tape with a famous network marketers
message, someone whos making millionaires or the personal
message of the president of the company. Put your name and
phone number on the cassette tape. If they are interested,
theyll call you. And note, people may or may not call you right
away because sometimes its not the right time. When they feel
like they want to take action, youll be the one theyll
call.
Pass out Business Card with 1-800
Pre-recorded message
Have your prospects call in to listen and tell them to call you
back if theyre interested. This helps to screen out those that
are serious from the ones that are wasting your time. If theyre
ready to sign up, theyll tell you.
